Discipleship Ministry

The adult discipleship ministry seeks to help First Baptist Church of Tampa Thrive by fulfilling Colossians 1:28 and proclaiming and teaching Christ to each person so that we all are made complete in Christ.

In the following video, Brian Dembowczyk, Executive & Discipleship Pastor, explains three basic opportunities offered to help you grow as a missional disciple:

To summarize:

• Bible Study Core Groups: Offered primarily on Sundays @ 9:15 a.m. and provide ongoing, systematic Bible study to allow participants to Dig In to the Bible. [learn more]
• Missional Life Institute: Offered primarily on Wednesdays @ 6:30 p.m. and provide 8- to 12-week courses designed to equip participants Grow Up as missional disciples. [learn more]
• Community Life Groups: Offered throughout the week for 6- to 12-week periods designed to provide Branching Out opportunities based on engaging topical studies. [learn more]

Through these opportunities and one-on-one discipleship and special events, such as conferences, First Baptist Church of Tampa helps you be a missional disciple that God can use to impact Tampa and beyond.

Men’s & Women’s Ministries

Opportunities for men to Grow Up with other men and women to do the same with other women are offered at various times during the year. An ongoing Woman-to-Woman Bible study is also offered on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 100. This study offers women the opportunity to take a break from Missional Life Institute and Grow Up with other women.
