Prayer Ministry

Prayer is a vital component of all of what First Baptist Church of Tampa does.Prayer cards are located in the pew pockets in the worship center. Anyone is welcome, and encouraged to, share any prayer needs about which they would like the pastoral staff and prayer team to pray. Prayer needs can be kept confidential, with only the pastoral staff seeing them, by request. In addition, prayer boxes are located throughout the church campus providing another avenue for individuals to share prayer needs.

There are three ways that we foster concerted prayer for FBC Tampa to Thrive and bring God glory in all we do:

Sunday Morning

Prayer team members take turns praying during corporate worship on Sunday mornings. This also offers an opportunity for prayer team members to pray for recent requests submitted by others.

Watchman on the Wall

Watchman on the Wall is designed to provide 24-hour, 7-days-a-week prayer coverage that focuses strictly on the ministry and mission of First Baptist Church of Tampa. Individuals can sign-up for a one-hour prayer slot for a one-year commitment. A monthly prayer guide featuring specific requests, is published and mailed to participants. If you are interested in participating in Watchman on the Wall, contact Donna Hencke in the church office.
